Weather station

The Kyneton Weather station was set up and activated on May 15th, 2009. The current weather station hardware is a Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus - a wireless, solar powered, 24-hour fan aspirated weather station with UV and solar sensors.

The Integrated Sensor Suite combines a rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, anemometer, UV and solar radiation sensors into one package.

Prior to 2nd Feb 2015, the weather station was an Oregon Scientific WMR-200.

The data is collected every 2 seconds and the site is updated every 5 seconds. This data is collected using Weather Display Software and forwarded to an external hosted web site that has the Meteotemplate installed. This uses a MySQL database to store all the weather data every 5 minutes, and the dynamic pages are presented using PHP.
